Penelope Stratton, Receptionist, 20s

A recent graduate of a top finishing school, Penelope is prim and proper and has the necessary traits to match the manor, the job and the role. She wears no uniform while on duty and possesses a wardrobe of expensive clothes and dazzling accessories. Penelope's an accomplished amateur actress and skilled at impressions. Frankly, though, when it comes to her actual duties, she's somewhat scatterbrained; she rarely knows what's going on at any given time in the manor, or how to get matters attended to. She relies on her supervisor, the concierge, Adrienne Van Scoy, to direct her and handle any complex situations that arise.

Sweet young Penelope is terrified of both Farnsworth and Van Scoy. She frequently misleads Kris, but he's never sure if she's being devious, merely following her bosses' orders, or simply mistaken.

Penelope doesn't have much to do all day long besides meeting and greeting people in her well-scripted manor persona. Consequently, she spends a lot of time daydreaming about headwaiter Thomas Sutherland. She adores him, but Thomas always seems too busy to look in her direction.

Her other passion in life is long-distance swimming, which surely accounts for her astonishing figure. She regularly trains in the manor Olympic pool, preparing for next summer's attempt at the English Channel, and for that reason she is frequently away from her post whenever people look for her.

In addition to the concierge and the chauffeur, Kris sometimes feels attracted to the receptionist as well. But it always puts him in a quandry. He finds himself filled with an overidding thought: Whom to approach? Whom to choose?
