Mildred Simmons, Housekeeper, 50s

Mrs. Simmons is Irish, has a wonderful face, dazzling green eyes, and the sweetest smile imaginable. She's everybody's favorite grandmother who calls everyone "Dearie" and means it. This woman works incredibly hard every day, yet is the picture of health. Kris thinks she is as good looking a middle-aged woman as he's ever seen. Mildred has worked at Manor House for three decades.

Her husband George, who was the estate gardener, passed away some years back, and their three children have grown up and moved away. She adored Lord Hanover and was devestated to learn he had passed away. She despises Farnsworth, who always finds something in her purview to criticize, even though the rooms and furnishings in Manor House are kept spotless.

Mildred would immediately side with anyone Farnsworth considers to be an adversary and was prepared to become Kris's ally from the moment he arrived. She realizes that Kris may be in danger since something serious is afoot with Farnsworth, Van Scoy and Leon. She is keeping a sharp eye on their activities.

Mildred has a special place in her heart for Reginald McCabe, the doorman, because his exuberant personality reminds her of her dearly departed George and because her grandson, Christopher, gets on famously with Reggie.

Mildred is well known in the community as a staunch environmental activist. She frequently appears on the local news channel to rail against the influx of despoiling "rock worshipers" and their smoke belching jalopies due to the recent unearthing of a miniature Stonehenge at a site adjacent to Hanover Manor. She is joined in these protests by the manor chauffeur, Savannah Reddy, and her grandson, Christopher.
