Christopher Robin, Guest, Teenager

Christopher Robin (named after the children's book character) is the housekeeper's 14-year-old grandson. He arrived at Manor House to spend a school vacation and once again enjoy exploring the manor and its expansive grounds. Hanover Manor is his favorite place on Earth, and that includes the magical realms he's encountered in the imaginary tales and fables spoken to him throughout his childhood by Lord Hanover.

For most of the year, Christopher attends boarding school in France and is bilingual. He is bright, observant and inquisitive. He freely quote Samuel Beckett and other writers like Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. The boy has a passion for immersive computer games -- from classics like Myst and Riven to current offerings like Yakuza and The Stanley Parable -- which he often enjoyed playing with Lord Hanover. But perhaps the most intriguing aspects of his intellect are his views on plant intelligence and communication. He claims his grandfather was teaching him how to listen and talk to plants just before he passed away.

A talented illustrator as well, he serves as his grandmother's eyes and ears, which he is able to do skillfully because he long ago learned to be unobtrusive when roaming through the manor.

Lord Hanover loved to have young Christopher around, even on occasions when he was working, and as a result the boy has been to parts of Manor House that nobody else knows about.

Whenever Christopher visits the estate, he looks for the opportunity to make a new friend, especially now that he has apparently lost his "Uncle Artie." Obviously, he'd like to be Kris's. He is also fond of Reggie McCabe, the doorman, and wishes desperately for a pet with whom to roam the manor grounds.

Soon after getting to know the lad, Kris and he become almost inseperable, as they endeavor to uncover the mystery of how Kris, an American citizen who had never been to Britain, came to be related to a British noble of international renown.
