Storytellers

Storytellers are a gathering of disembodied beings from the collective unconscious who regularly communicate with the protagonist Kris Robinson, who has inadvertently triggered this connection due to powerful memory suppression drugs he has taken.

These entities are thrilled to be once again able to communicate with a living person.

In ancient times, they regularly spoke to humans through telepathy and auditory hallucinations.

But as mankind developed a rational mind and achieved consciousness, these channels closed and the voices shut off.

However, it now seems that Kris's newly acquired bicameral mind has reopened the connection, allowing their voices to speak anew.

Throughout his stay at the manor, the Storytellers offer advice, issue warnings, translate foreign speech, and project scenes from Kris's future events about to unfold.

There are celebrity presences who speak to Kris as well. Among them: Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud, Julian Jaynes, Timothy Leary, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Carlos Castenada, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

In addition to these personages, intelligent plants communicate with Kris throughout his stay. They are bright, affable and helpful. They too can project future events.

Kris is able to interact with them due to their being surreptitiously mixed in with his beverages, snacks and meals. Storytellers and intelligent plants are aware of each other's existence but cannot directly communicate.
